Mandolin
Traditional tear drop shape or guitar shaped. Both produce a loud, rich, well defined sound. Fixed or floating bridge. Scale length - 385mm

Wider and longer than a mandolin for deeper richer tones. Fixed or floating bridge. Usually teardrop shaped. Scale length – 480mm

A 5 course instrument with floating bridge and tailpiece. Scale length – 600mm

Bazouki
Usually a 4 course instrument. Can be strung in unison or, more usually, octave. Fixed or floating bridge. Occasionally a 5th course is added to encompass a low C. Scale length - 630mm

An instrument new to my stall, the mandocello is a real beast of an instrument, with rich, deep bass tones but a slim and delicate neck that even a child can play.

Saz
Originally made as a commision - Turkey meets UK, this is basicly a Turkish instrument made in a European style. This example has Indian rosewood back and sides and a sitka spruce top.

Based on a 1920 Stromberg that had a traditional "cut" soundboard, built using up to date techniques. This example has walnut back and sides and a sitka spruce soundboard
